Amazon is the largest book retailer in the world. They carry over 33 MILLION titles and ship them pretty much anywhere in the world. At the same time Amazon also allows authors to publish titles directly onto the platform, without the approval of traditional publishers, editors, or, as my foot book proves, really any barriers at all. In 2014, a new book was added to Amazon every five minutes.
Another benefit on these top selling lists is that you can identify the top selling brands. This is helpful for SEO research as well as creating pages/posts via auto-blog where you enter keywords into the software/app/plug-in.
Pro-Tip: For the Kindle Store, Amazon Best Sellers lists are divided into Top 100 Paid and Top 100 Free. Items in the paid best sellers list have a value greater than $0.00. Items in the free list have a value equal to $0.00. Both lists are updated hourly.
Here are the top five products in every major category that we found at the time of writing. Check back regularly as we’ll continue to update this list with new best-sellers (just maybe not as often as Amazon does!).
For example, we sell in multiple product categories and find that we receive proportionally more feedback in some categories. The dollar amount of the transaction also has a correlation to likelihood of feedback. Additionally, some items lend themselves to buying multiples while others do not. If a customer buys 5 units in one transaction, that will still lead to a maximum of one feedback.
Currently, according to Amazon’s own best sellers section on its site, the Echo Dot in black is now the top-selling electronics device in the U.S., followed by the Echo Dot in white and then the white Echo. Various Fire tablets, the Kindle Paperwhite and the Fire TV Stick with remote round out the top 10.
“I like that you are able to track your sleep and sleep patterns and accuracy. It is also very motivating to see how many steps and calories you have burned and makes you want to “beat” your personal best everyday.” – Flora Nun, Amazon reviewer
It’s easy enough to guess why the Chromecast is popular. First, it’s cheap—$35 for a gadget with functionality to other streaming devices in the $50 to $100 range. Second, when it debuted, Chromecast immediately sold out—at the Google Play store, at Amazon, and at other retailers. Whether that was by design or due to inept supply chain management isn’t clear, but one consequence was that Chromecast took on the allure of a hot, in-demand item.
Lousy Sales Ranks: This isn’t always or necessarily indicative of a bad-buy item, but only if you do it right. If you’re smart about it, like avoiding items with tons of competing offers, then you have the chance to make nice cushy profits. Just make sure you’re backing it with something like a Buy Box to increase your chances of a tidy profit.
The feedback shown is only that received from sales on the Mexican marketplace. The feedback data will vary from that in the global list above, for merchants selling to other North American marketplaces using the same account.
With 2019 now officially here, it’s time to take a look back at last year to see what was and wasn’t so good. The folks over at Amazon have done just that, compiling lists of what sold best on their site throughout the year, and in the video game department, you’ll see a lot of familiar faces.
Members of security services react as a man in the crowd tries to shake hands with French President Emmanuel Macron, who walks next to Senegalese President Macky Sall in a street of Saint-Louis, Senegal.
Oh, one more thing. Sometimes I buy books…I never buy books from the above as they are allowed to defy Amazon’s two day to ship product rule and wait until they have a couple thousand orders to send by bulk mail (sometimes takes a week). They also send product under media mail sometimes which is not media, thereby ripping off the post office and they have the audacity to send as printed bound material (meant for looseleaf bound, velostrip bound printed material, etc).
