This conveniently small car mount attaches to your dashboard and holds your phone in place so you can better check GPS, quickly control music, or make calls and texts in a safer, more convenient way.
Essentially many of the sellers on this list will ship late, (I guess Amazon requires sellers to send out within two business days after the order is placed)…these sellers sometimes take weeks Many do not provide tracking so if something gets lost in the mail, they don’t know where it is…so good luck getting a refund.
Any industry person can tell you these lists have their problems. There’s a barely concealed editorial bias. Bookscan, the database that tabulates book sales, inexplicably doesn’t include Amazon’s ebook sales. There’s even the possibility of manipulation, as outlined in a 2013 Wall Street Journal article called “The Mystery of the Book Sales Spike.” Still, they remain relatively hard to crack. In most cases, your book not only has to be good enough for a legitimate publisher to publish it, but you have to outsell all the other books out there, past and present, even if you’re paying for it out of your pocket. We’ve had clients sell close to 10,000 copies in a single week and miss landing on these charts.
As mentioned, all that counts is the number of sales relative to other products within the same category. Amazon splits ‘paid’ and ‘free’ books into separate categories, so these act as sub-sub categories, in turn having their own bestsellers rank, which seems to be ranked using the same (or very similar) algorithm to paid bestseller ranks.
If we dissect this URL, it’s easy to see that the &field-keywords= string is what Amazon uses to ID which search results to show. The /s/?url=search-alias is how Amazon tells itself to query a search results page, automatically sorted by best-sellers.
Just the other day, we were trying to sketch out the kind of laptop that most people could buy and be happy with. Well, it appears Acer beat us to the punch, delivering exactly what we were looking for—and for way less money than we expected.
We think the two sources together provide good coverage but it’s not going to be 100%. A seller that’s missing from the seller directories (or who only sells in categories without a directory) and does not have an offer for any of the top 100 best sellers won’t be on the list. A summary of the methodology is in the “About the Data” section at the end of the article, but in less detail because it gets pretty complex.

I guess it’s not a new concept to be fascinated by things we don’t understand or mysteries we can’t solve; why else would we keep theorizing about what the afterlife holds or about the Kennedy assassination?
Amazon does nothing to stop any of these practices. Also, quite a few on this list are drop shippers and spider sellers. Some do not have inventory, so if you need to return a product what happens is you are suppose to ship it back to whoever they buy it from, who many or may not reimbursed the seller you bought from…you end up not getting reimbursed. It’s a whole scam. Also, many of these stores are same store (they hire others to open a store on Amazon, they have no product, but the same book is listed almost the same wording and same condition (or in the condition, they tell you they have a bunch of satisfied customers), just a few pennies difference…want to know if they really have the book…ask a question and they will say ‘we can’t answer you because it is in a warehouse in bumf*** wherever, lol)
The intent of this blog is to share my knowledge base of computers, software, gadgets, smartphones and information technology in terms that is presentable and understandable to ALL; and at the same time feed my obsession (and passion) for information technology by learning from others.
Constant access to this information scares me a little. Is this just another thing about which to obsess? Does this information actually serve a purpose for writers beyond freaking them out and/or offering rays of hope? And how quickly can I sign up?
Free Downloaded ebooks do NOT count equally as a paid sale. They may have a loooong time ago when the Kindle Slect program first started but for at least the last year or longer even a free giveaway downloaded only counts for about one tenth of a paid sale in overall/sub-category rankings.
I tend to buy from the little guys now instead of the people on this list…just because they are listed as top sellers, top seller is really misleading. If they screw me over once, I will leave a neutral feedback with everything about the sale as neutral does not count against them (I just don’t want to ruin business, but do state what went wrong), then I never buy from them again…and I mention to family, community members, friends, colleagues to not buy from this or that seller (and then sometimes those people warn other not to buy). Also, I tend to buy from those who respond to inquiries with actual answers (even ‘I don’t know’ is better than a lie) . I buy from those who describe what they are selling (instead of may or may not have chips in case, may or may not have accessories…WHAT???) and I will pay more for service and honesty than for the cheapo prices given by the above sellers.
Although The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild looked and played better on the Nintendo Switch, it was also available on the Wii U. And before long, Wii U owners discovered it was the best game for that console.

I have a book which has sold zero copies, but its rank has changed several times. It has also gone up, so this has not been caused by people adding books. One of the categories it’s listed in doesn’t have that many books, but it still has over 100 of them. Despite that, my book was listed at #15 at one point even though no-one has bought it…
CIRP estimates there are 85 million Prime members in the U.S., up 35 percent from the 63 million in the same quarter last year. That means there are a lot more people who are eligible to shop Prime Day this year, and purchase Amazon’s devices.
So, yep, lots of phony feedback. Many of these sellers will get nasty if you ask questions prior to a sale; some downright lie in their answers. OR they send answers not even pertaining to the questions.
Sadly Amazon is not available in Australia, not for buyers or sellers, only Amazon books….even though Australia is one of the highest online purchasing population there is, but I guess Ebay isn’t complaining.
Easy – invest in a tool that automatically reprices your products so that you always stay on top of the Buy Box. This is almost a requirement when you have lots of products for sale; there’s just no way to stay on top of pricing for all of them.
At one point 5 books where up in the Adult Colouring Books and 2 in Stress Management. I’ve still done no marketing. Then a couple dropped out of the Colouring Books but not too low that they can’t come back into the Bestsellers later. I have one left in the Stress Management. The other books I have are about 170s mark so with a bit of work might get into the Bestsellers.
Rankings for this midyear list were taken from sales figures from January through the end of April, the most recent reporting period for market researcher The NPD Group. Due to agreements with publishers, NPD does not publicly release hard sales numbers — but the rankings show that players are eager for new experiences — while they’re not quite ready to let go of some old favorites.
On the flip side, Prime Day is one of the best sources we have to determine how on the mark we are by what we feature. Thanks to years of deal-hunting and paying attention to readers, we’ve gotten pretty good at anticipating interests, trends, and needs, but — as Prime Day reminds us with things like a SanDisk memory card and car mount cracking the top 10 best-selling items — we cannot always be 100% right in our assumptions.
This new API lets us provide real-time repricing (basically we can make changes to your prices as your competitors make changes, rather than waiting an hour to see if any changes need to be made), 100% accurate knowledge of Amazon’s offer, featured merchant status of your competitors and we’ll always know the lowest FBA offer, even when the “bucket” system would make it unavailable.

Rankings there are determined by book sales reported to The Times by retailers across the country, the Times’ methodology states. But, there is “no exact number” of sales that will land you on the list, according to a representative for The Times.

In December 2013 Theresa Regan posted the following figures on her blog representing how many sales we can expect a book to be achieving, depending on its overall sales rank. Of course, these numbers are likely to be rather arbitrary, but they’re interesting nonetheless. Note, these numbers do not apply to product categories other than books. It’s also important to mention again that it’s the sales that cause the ranking. The ranking doesn’t cause the sales.
Quick Note: For some reason, removing the ?url=search-alias returns a different set of search results… Not sure why, but either way make sure you keep that in if you want to make it look like someone searched for that keyword from Amazon.
