This is my method for buying on Amazon (eBay in disguise), eBay, Abes: ask questions before sale about packing, when product will really be sent, do they provide tracking, have they described condition, what is their feedback like (go back and see how many people are dissatisfied each day for a month or so…tedious, but if you have people every day saying you screwed up, something’s wrong), do they respond to emails and do they answer the questions asked?

My number that night was a little under 450,000, which — even as a novice — I had to assume wasn’t quite Fifty Shades of Grey status yet. But presumably the ranking would go up — or down, as the case may be — when the novel actually went on sale. Either way, I did a little research into how the rating system works and learned that very little concrete information is available.
As mentioned, all that counts is the number of sales relative to other products within the same category. Amazon splits ‘paid’ and ‘free’ books into separate categories, so these act as sub-sub categories, in turn having their own bestsellers rank, which seems to be ranked using the same (or very similar) algorithm to paid bestseller ranks.
Before Asus’s latest flipping came around, pickings were slim when it came to affordable models with full-on Intel Core processors and 1080p displays, not to mention touchscreens, backlit keyboards and USB-C ports. It may use an Intel Pentium chip on the low-end, but the Asus Chromebook Flip is by no means low-end. Compared to what’s offered by the competition, the Asus Chromebook Flip’s value is unparalleled, and that’s without getting into its pristine tablet mode, which blows other hybrids completely out of the water.
Currently, according to Amazon’s own best sellers section on its site, the Echo Dot in black is now the top-selling electronics device in the U.S., followed by the Echo Dot in white and then the white Echo. Various Fire tablets, the Kindle Paperwhite and the Fire TV Stick with remote round out the top 10.

I was hooked. It didn’t matter the numbers could be meaningless because they accounted for only one bookseller or because I couldn’t be sure in relationship to what I was being ranked. It didn’t matter that the numbers were as fleeting as my recent obsession with chocolate mint gum, which ended when I tasted it.
Some of these companies pay even their own employees to write feedback (they have the employee “buy” something, pay the employee plus give free incentives/product Many of the book dealers are the worst..
