“How does this tablet rank against the competition? There are really only two other tablets in its class currently: the Google Nexus 7 and the just-announced Apple iPad Mini with Retina Display.” – NF, Amazon reviewer

Good point, Patrick! I only really researched English speaking Amazon stores, as this is most relevant to our readers, so am not sure how this translates to non-English speaking Amazon stores… if you could point me to any data you find on this topic, it’d be most appreciated!

To bring everything we’ve learned about custom URL queries together, let’s say we wanted to bring up the search results page for the term “espresso maker” in the Kitchen & Dining category, filtered by the Breville brand. Here’s what the URL would look like:
Hi. May I ask a question? I would like to find the best product to sell on Amazon. Therefore, I would like to see all items in a specific department. I read on a couple of websites to type after choosing the department, but this obviously doesn’t work. Do you know any alternative way to see all items in a specific department? That would be so helpful.
And even though the products shown might not be “bestsellers” themselves, you know that they are good enough products that lots of people within your niche are still buying them anyway, so they’re worth listing.
This new API lets us provide real-time repricing (basically we can make changes to your prices as your competitors make changes, rather than waiting an hour to see if any changes need to be made), 100% accurate knowledge of Amazon’s offer, featured merchant status of your competitors and we’ll always know the lowest FBA offer, even when the “bucket” system would make it unavailable.
The popularity of ASUS laptops on Amazon’s Top 100 bestselling list has decreased a little bit if compared to 2017 taking about 15% from best-selling laptop computers list in 2018 In this article I’ve listed…
“The new Paperwhite is the state-of-the-art e-ink ebook reader. With improved screen contrast for better readability, a more sensitive touch screen with faster page turns, and some new or improved features that enhance the reading experience, it was worth upgrading from the original Paperwhite.” – J. Chambers, Amazon reviewer
I’m the Amazon sales manager at one of the companies listed above and can definitively say that the idea of 10-20% of transactions getting feedback has some limitations as an indicator for units sold.
Last week Facebook IPO rumors swirled about the Internet. Few in the tech world were able to focus on anything else. Facebook’s estimated $75-$100 billion IPO had tech-meisters and analysts drooling. Finally, the world’s largest social network decided to put a price on everyones’ personal data.
The data is drawn from Amazon’s seller directories and best selling product lists – there’s one for each product category in each marketplace, including Amazon US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Canada, India, Japan, China and Mexico.
It used to be a real mark of distinction to hit the best-seller lists–because there were fewer lists and fewer authors (and before ebooks, pricing across books was pretty universal as well). The New York Times list has been the most prestigious, published in one form or another since 1931. By 1942, a national list made its debut, compiled according to “reports from leading booksellers in 22 cities.” By the mid-2000s, over 4,000 bookstores were polled each week to determine who deserved to be on the list. The Wall Street Journal list, which has been around since 2009, is based on Nielsen Bookscan and tends to focus on a smaller number of categories. The USA Today list is a prestigious but more of a catch-all list.
They also package poorly…so your purchase will no doubt look like road kill by the time you get it…and they lie about condition of product (outright lies or instead of condition they state they have thousands of satisfied customers…then you get some smelly, torn up product).
While the Amazon Best Sellers list is a good indicator of how well a product is selling overall, it doesn’t always indicate how well an item is selling among other similar items. Category and subcategory best seller lists were created to highlight an item’s rank in the categories or subcategories where it really stands out.
When it comes to ranking highly on the Amazon Bestsellers lists, as the ranks are based hourly (or daily if the above information is correct), then a quick spike in sales due to a successful marketing campaign, followed by a lull in sales a couple of days later will only serve to see the product’s rankings quickly plummet. It’s far better to space out a product launch over a period of week, so Amazon can collect consistent historical data to make predictions on future sales. This will thereby make it easier for you to break into higher spots on the ranking table in future.
Hi Hutch, thanks for your comment. Do you have a link to a specific article which shows this? I agree that free vs paid has a massive bearing on movers/shakers, top 100 etc, but for the sales rank, the vast majority of data I’ve seen and experienced supports that the weighting between free and paid for this specific list is pretty equal- would love to see some quality evidence for the contraty though, and if I’m wrong, will be happy to change the article…
It gets better from there, too: the RAM is upgradeable to 32GB, meaning for just over $100 you can turn this thing into a heavy-hitting machine that can handle multi-tasking with ease. It’s also got two USB 3.0 ports and a USB-C connector for fast data transfer, an optical drive if you need one of those, and fast 802.11ac wireless.

In every other regard, the best laptop deals are comprised of notebooks unencumbered by towering price tags. Wherever you happen to reside, at least in the United States, we don’t want to disappoint our readers on the prowl for sweet, sweet savings.
We know the Amazon best sellers rank can seem a bit complicated to make sense of, which is why we’ve designed RepricerExpress to be so darn simple. In fact, just about the most ‘difficult’ thing you have to do is take the three seconds required to sign up for your 15-day free trial.
The smart speaker had first gone on sale in late 2014 to Prime members, before becoming generally available in June 2015. Assuming CIRP’s figure (8.2 million) is ballpark correct, it would have represented a 60 percent increase from the 5.1 million CIRP calculated in November.
The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over forty years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm, but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside.
&field-brandtextbin= is another URL string you’ll want to be familiar with. It’s what tells Amazon to filter your search by a brand name. Since many customers already know what brand they want, you may be able to use this query for tracking and SEO purposes.
Chromecast’s sales success does suggest that mainstream users aren’t too concerned about the lack of streaming options—to date, only two non-Google services, Netflix and Hulu, work directly with Chromecast—or the wait for more apps to emerge. At least not yet.
