Notably, some categories are dominated by one or two brands. Among the products in Electronics, almost the entire list is Amazon products. In other categories, varying versions of the same products may be among the best sellers. In Cameras & Photos, Fuji Film has several versions of its film, broken out by the number of photos per roll.

Arguably, the MacBook Air is no more, but the clones never stop coming. Among them is the Acer Aspire S 13. It’s not quite as thin and light as many prominently featured Ultrabooks, nor is it particularly premium. However, the Aspire S 13 packs quite a punch when it comes to performance. USB-C and a full HD display put it just over the edge in beating out the 13-inch Air, and for a much lower cost. Despite the powerful CPU, the Acer Aspire S 13 even manages a battery life of 7 hours and 49 minutes, according to our testing.

So every time a customer checks out a product, they have a section directly underneath the product description showing related products that make nice complements to the product currently being considered.

To me, intel is a greater problem than m$ – m$ has become irrelevant outside their sphere of influence but intel can buy their way into other markets as well, with their ill gotten loot and strong arm as a Chromebook lover, performance, speed and lag free experience is very important for me. And Haswell based Intel 2995u has given me the best experience so far. Battery life is 8 hours and it is not very noisy either.

A gorgeous and long-lasting laptop featuring the most cutting-edge 8th-gen Intel processor, the Dell Inspiron 13 is $330 off its shelf price on eBay this week. It’s a touchscreen laptop and brand-spanking-new, too, in case that was a concern.View Deal

Amazon posted its top 100 best-selling video game products including video games, game accessories, PlayStation Store gift cards, and more. The $20 PlayStation Store gift card placed at number 1. The game can be purchased from Amazon for only $54.98. The digital version of the video game is also available for $59.99.

That’s right — if a free book is ‘sold’, it’s weighted just the same as if a buyer forked over cash for the same title. The only thing, then, that matters is how many of whatever title have been snapped up, and that number in turns becomes part of the algorithm used to calculate the sales rank.

In a press release pushed out on December 26, to highlight its successes during the festive period, Amazon says it saw a big increase in the number of Prime trials being taken, a big bump in the number of people shopping from its mobile apps and, to sweeten the acerbic reception that greeted its ill-fated Fire Phone, big sales for its own-brand TV streaming devices.

  1. Hi JT, as mentioned in the article, it’s based on recent sales relative to other books in the same category. By selling a copy, your rank will overtake thousands of other books instantly. If you sell 3 books in a short period, that’ll overtake a lot more books. If you sell hundreds of books in a single day, you could well jump to #1, but as your sales decline, other books will overtake you pretty easily. If you want to keep that rank, you have to maintain a good number of steady sales pretty much day in day out…
I was hooked. It didn’t matter the numbers could be meaningless because they accounted for only one bookseller or because I couldn’t be sure in relationship to what I was being ranked. It didn’t matter that the numbers were as fleeting as my recent obsession with chocolate mint gum, which ended when I tasted it.
Even though the image of the product listing above says that there are other offers “from $15.65”, closer inspection of the listings reveals that those cheaper options are actually more expensive once you take shipping into account.
With that said; I’ve would have to give ballpark of around 5-7% for seller feedback (even worse conversions for product reviews) averaging the highs and lows of niches, marketplaces, product quality, etc. etc… high end is about 20-23%.
