The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an engrossing adventure as you take the role of Link in a bid to save Hyrule anew. Puzzles, outstanding swordplay, and a compelling story make this game a must-have.
The screenshot in your main article shows that Amazon treats paid and free sales differently – they are actually different bestseller lists. They used to be published side by side, with the top-selling free book in a category to the left of the top-selling paid book, but as your screenshot shows, they are now different pages.
Generally, price is the biggest criteria for purchasers of Chromebooks. They are often around $200 for some decent hardware. Even with low promotional pricing on Windows laptops, they were passed over on Amazon in favor of the top three Chromebooks. This can’t be what Microsoft wanted to see. Of course, this is just Amazon; I suspect inexpensive Windows laptops did okay at other retailers.
To bring everything we’ve learned about custom URL queries together, let’s say we wanted to bring up the search results page for the term “espresso maker” in the Kitchen & Dining category, filtered by the Breville brand. Here’s what the URL would look like:
That’s right — if a free book is ‘sold’, it’s weighted just the same as if a buyer forked over cash for the same title. The only thing, then, that matters is how many of whatever title have been snapped up, and that number in becomes part of the algorithm used to calculate the sales rank.
With that said.. there’s a few tactics that’d definitely up that ~2.5 mark. I’d be open to any questions, suggestions, etc. if increasing feedback is of any interest to you. (without any annoying pressure sale of an app!)
They also package poorly…so your purchase will no doubt look like road kill by the time you get it…and they lie about condition of product (outright lies or instead of condition they state they have thousands of satisfied customers…then you get some smelly, torn up product).
Amazon offers the Acer Aspire 5 A515-51G-53F6 Intel Kaby Lake R Core i5 1.6GHz 15.6″ 1080p Gaming Laptop for $585.50 with free shipping. That’s the best price we could find by $44. It features an Intel Core i5-8250U 1.6GHz Kaby Lake R quad-core processor, 15.6″ 1920×1080 (1080p) LED-backlit LCD, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Nvidia GeForce MX150 2GB graphics, 4-cell battery, and Windows 10 Home 64-bit. There’s plenty of cross-border trading going on, but still many who are sticking to just one marketplace (or using separate accounts to sell on each). 46% of the 500 biggest sellers in Europe get all their feedback from only one marketplace (51% last year).
If we dissect this URL, it’s easy to see that the &field-keywords= string is what Amazon uses to ID which search results to show. The /s/?url=search-alias is how Amazon tells itself to query a search results page, automatically sorted by best-sellers.
Great article! My book, “The Spider and the Wasp” (http://www.amazon.com/The-Spider-Wasp-Trauma-Survivor/dp/0991438310), will get down to about 2,600,000. I sell one and it jumps to about 450,000, and then drops back down to 2,600,000 over the course of a week. Last night it jumped to 225,000… so maybe I sold two in a day? Selling books is a tough thing to do. Wanting somebody to buy my book is like asking them to pay me for ten hours of their valuable time. I’m glad I didn’t go into it with any pre-conceived notions of success.
The Dot is the smallest of the Amazon Echo devices, but it has all the capabilities of the bigger products. Plus, it’s the only one that can connect to external speakers through a wire or Bluetooth, and it’s small enough to stack pretty much anywhere or keep out of sight.
How many copies did I need to sell be able to call up my mother and celebrate my newfound authorial achievements? Three. Yes, a total of three copies to become a best-selling author. And I bought two of those copies myself!
As the strongest Windows competitor to the MacBook Air’s ultrabook dominance, Windows fans will find a lot to be happy about with this Asus model. It has a beautiful design, 5 hours of battery life, an Intel i5 processor and solid state hard drive. There is also an i7 processor model available, though it falls out of the $1000-$1200 price range.
A common misconception about the Bestsellers Rank is that it takes into account more than simple sales, but it seems this idea is completely untrue. This rank takes into account only sales (recent and historical, more on this later), so I’m afraid getting tons of Amazon Vine members How to Become an Amazon Vine Reviewer & Get Free Stuff How to Become an Amazon Vine Reviewer & Get Free Stuff An Amazon program that’s been around since 2007 might make you think twice about the power of good reviews. It’s also an opportunity to get picked up for the program. Find out more here. Read More to leave you tons of reviews and ratings won’t necessarily help your Bestsellers ranking. This means that a rank is not representative of cumulative sales (or overall sales volume), but more on how a product has been selling very recently compared to others in it’s category.
It’s no surprise that the best-selling electronics are Amazon’s own devices, considering how much visibility they get on the site. The Echo Dot is a voice-controlled device that uses Alexa (your new BFF) to do everything from adding new products to your Amazon shopping cart to playing music and notifying you about the weather. This particular model has over 61,000 reviews and a 4.5-star rating!
The second most popular model is a 11 inch HP stream laptop (there are some 4 variations for this laptop – including you can have a pink coloured version and you can have 13 inch model and some other variations). Frankly speaking I’m not into compact sized laptop models, but hey – folks enjoy that model.
There’s probably a lot of variance in the % of buyers who leave seller feedback. Amazon’s own statistic of 10%-20% does feel high though. I’m hoping to get data on it sometime and might be interesting to see if it varies by country, category etc.
Here are the top 500 sellers on the Amazon.co.uk marketplace. The feedback shown is only that received from sales on the UK marketplace. The feedback data will vary from that in the global list above, for merchants selling to other European marketplaces using the same account.
Amazon has various ways of ranking products, but one of the least understood seems to be the Amazon Bestsellers Rank (also known simply as ‘Sales Rank’). This post will hopefully help you understand , as a customer, which books are selling well in a certain topic, and as a seller, which products may be your main competitors.
If you are interested in the product volume for just a few sellers you can click the links to their seller information pages on Amazon. The product widget there includes a page count which can be used to calculate how many products they have listed.
In every other regard, the best laptop deals are comprised of notebooks unencumbered by towering price tags. Wherever you happen to reside, at least in the United States, we don’t want to disappoint our readers on the prowl for sweet, sweet savings.
I am a Part of one of the top 6 Amazon companies in the world. We are selling in com, de, fr and uk and our feedback rates are: com 1 out of 7, uk 1 out of 5.5, fr 1 out of 6.5 and de 1 out of 11. maybe that helps to interpret the feedbacks better 🙂
On Thursday, a lawyer for Trump demanded the author and publisher stop releasing material, retract what had already been released, and apologize. Instead, publisher Henry Holt & Co. bumped up the book’s publication date up four days from Jan. 9 to Jan. 5, citing “unprecedented demand.”
Very nicely broken down Steve! I def agree with you; from my experience (I run an app called Feedbackz and see/work with feedback/reviews all day long!) I see the same of the notion that.. it’s many, many factors associated with conversions.
The feedback shown is only that received from sales on the Mexican marketplace. The feedback data will vary from that in the global list above, for merchants selling to other North American marketplaces using the same account.
The winner is … Chromecast, the tiny Google device that streams video and music to a TV. Chromecast has topped several of Amazon’s bestseller lists—including the biggie, its list of all electronics—for weeks now, displacing a Kindle model as sales leader and leapfrogging ahead of both Apple TV and the Roku.
Their new book features more than 100 chef-developed recipes, like Chimichurri Beef Kabobs and Halibut with Citrus Ginger Glaze, designed to build your confidence in the kitchen and inspire your taste buds.
Above all, there was her gun-toting, guitar-riffing, frequently semi-naked father, who underwent a religious conversion on a submarine and found a loophole which saw him approved for the Catholic priesthood by the future Pope Benedict XVI, despite already having a wife and children.

It should be noted here that Amazon doesn’t have anything against selling cheap knockoffs. They just don’t like it when you lie about what it really is or who really made it. So, I’m not telling you this method because I condone it, but merely to keep you informed doesn’t Amazon seller. Someday it could happen to you! Know how to protect yourself from having your product listing hijacked.
From what I understand, this can sometimes be because a product is new, or that they just haven’t had any recent sales, so they simply don’t rank against other products in that category… hope this helps!
According to author Melissa Walker, whose new book Unbreak My Heart — out since May 22 — is her sixth young adult novel, Amazon Ranking Obsession (A.R.O) lessens with time. “With my first book, I checked Amazon NONSTOP,” she admits. “Every other author kept telling me the ranking didn’t matter, but it was the only number I had access to, so it had the power to make my heart soar (or drop). Now, I’ll admit that I still check it, but only once or twice a month (really!).” Still, it’s hard to resist even a mysterious number, if it’s right there in print.
A new novel from an internationally acclaimed author Arundhati Roy takes us on a journey of many years – the story spooling outwards from the cramped neighbourhoods of Old Delhi into the burgeoning new metropolis and beyond, to the Valley of Kashmir and the forests of Central India, where war is peace and peace is war, and where, from time to time, ‘normalcy’ is declared.
