We can’t stress enough to avoid making the mistake so many buyers have of placing too much importance on just the best sellers rank. It’s tempting to get caught up in the heady rush of seeing items fly off the shelves and your products have a small rank number, but there’s so much more involved than that.

Nick Sandberg, our Marketplace Channel Analyst at CPC Strategy conducted an interesting test to find out if aggressive bidding on the right product keywords would not only increase sales, but also improve organic rank and organic sales.

Specifically, it has sold more than twice as many Echo devices here in the U.S., compared with Prime Day 2016, and more than three times as many worldwide. Insiders at the company, according to one source, say that Echo devices are selling at a rate of “thousands per minute” at the moment. Echo Dot appears likely to sell out first, the source added, although there has been unexpectedly high interest in all of the Alexa-powered products.

On Thursday, a lawyer for Trump demanded the author and publisher stop releasing material, retract what had already been released, and apologize. Instead, publisher Henry Holt & Co. bumped up the book’s publication date up four days from Jan. 9 to Jan. 5, citing “unprecedented demand.”

Essentially many of the sellers on this list will ship late, (I guess Amazon requires sellers to send out within two business days after the order is placed)…these sellers sometimes take weeks Many do not provide tracking so if something gets lost in the mail, they don’t know where it is…so good luck getting a refund.

For example, this is why sometimes a new product can have a higher ranking than a product released 2 years ago. Even though the older product has more historical data or cumulative sales – Amazon is making a prediction that the new product is likely to surpass the older product.

There’s plenty of cross-border trading going on, but still many who are sticking to just one marketplace (or using separate accounts to sell on each). 46% of the 500 biggest sellers in Europe get all their feedback from only one marketplace (51% last year).

It’s a new year and a fresh start for both gamers and those that make them. 2017 had a lot of ups and downs the past year, but that doesn’t mean it was without it’s amazing moments. Overall, Internet Retailer is estimating that Amazon will top $2 billion in Prime Day sales this year, or a 20 percent jump over Prime Day 2016. Our source is more bullish and said he wouldn’t be surprised if sales, powered by keen interest in Alexa-based hardware, jump 40 percent.

In December 2013 Theresa Regan posted the following figures on her blog representing how many sales we can expect a book to be achieving, depending on its overall sales rank. Of course, these numbers are likely to be rather arbitrary, but they’re interesting nonetheless. Note, these numbers do not apply to product categories other than books. It’s also important to mention again that it’s the sales that cause the ranking. The ranking doesn’t cause the sales.
