Has there ever been a better time to be a gamer? 2017 was an incredible year for the video game industry, almost across the board. Do you even remember the kind of shape Nintendo was in this time last year? Things were looking very, very bad on the back of the company’s enormous Wii U flop, and now Nintendo makes the hottest video game console on the planet. Of course, PlayStation and Xbox fans had plenty to enjoy in 2017 as well, as some of the best games in recent history were released last year. Amazon just shared its list of the best-selling video games of 2017 across all platforms — have you played them all? Check out the full list at this link, or you can see the top 10 best-selling games below.

From soaring to high heights and seeing great sights to being left in a Lurch on a prickle-ly perch, Dr. Seuss addresses life’s ups and downs with his trademark humorous verse and illustrations, while encouraging readers to find the success that lies within.

“I bought this in December 2013 and I use it daily as the extra storage for my music and photos in my phone (currently an Xperia Z5C). No performance issues at all. I do really recommend this micro SD card.” – Paco Hernandez, Amazon reviewer

(Publisher: Nintendo) — How popular is this long-awaited open-world “Zelda” game? So popular that it outsold the console it runs on. Worldwide, the game sold 2.76 million copies of the Nintendo Switch version of the game through March 31, according to Nintendo. The Switch, in that same time period, sold 2.74 million units. Whatever the reason, the game has certainly earned the success. It’s one of the most highly rated games of all time by critics. And it’s so loaded with surprises and solid gameplay that it’s easy to get lost in Hyrule, the game’s mythical world, for 100 hours or more.

There are a couple other keyword strings to be aware of. You may have to do some experimenting one your own to figure out specific URL string combinations that delivers the page you want to see, but knowing these queries will give you a great starting point:

Featuring the new Intel Core M processor, do more with faster speeds and enhanced efficiency that automatically adjusts performance to what you’re doing. I noticed that Amazon more specifically categorized Semi-Charmed Life as a book about blogging, which struck me as sort of funny because my novel’s main character Beatrice Bernstein is a blogger, but the novel is not exactly Blogging For Dummies. But what did I care? I was No. 3 among upcoming blogging books! (I decided they should create even more specific lists like books featuring bloggers, written by Brooklyn-based journalists with cats named Mina and Waldo — I’d have to be No. 1 in that!)

I tend to buy from the little guys now instead of the people on this list…just because they are listed as top sellers, top seller is really misleading. If they screw me over once, I will leave a neutral feedback with everything about the sale as neutral does not count against them (I just don’t want to ruin business, but do state what went wrong), then I never buy from them again…and I mention to family, community members, friends, colleagues to not buy from this or that seller (and then sometimes those people warn other not to buy). Also, I tend to buy from those who respond to inquiries with actual answers (even ‘I don’t know’ is better than a lie) . I buy from those who describe what they are selling (instead of may or may not have chips in case, may or may not have accessories…WHAT???) and I will pay more for service and honesty than for the cheapo prices given by the above sellers.

Conny, I’m not sure, to be honest. Perhaps something to do with angorythm changes? Or simply your relation to others in your category, which can naturally change without your sales changing at all… so, if the sales in 50% of your category are fluctuating (which they are), this will naturally change your relative rank, even if your sales stay the same (even at 0)… In all, though, it’s impossible to tell for sure. Please let me know if you find out anything else!

There are plenty of other bestseller lists and rankings which you can base your book buying decision on, but Amazon’s Bestsellers Rank is by far one of the most cited. As mentioned at the start of the article, though, it’s difficult to pin the Amazon Bestsellers Rank down too firmly, but the above is what I’ve dissected from plenty of research online. People will disagree to an extent with some of the above, but the importance you place on this ranking algorithm is up to you. I don’t know how (or even if at all) this ranking impacts buyer decision, but I hope you’ve found this interesting.

Pro-democracy activists Raphael Wong and Joshua Wong arrive at Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre after they were on protest related charges following their sentencing at the High Court in Hong Kong.

Featuring a base of sweet almond oil and fruity notes of lychee, this Himalayan salt scrub is a favorite among Amazon users. If this particular formula isn’t quite up your alley, you can choose from other “flavors” like coconut milk, brown sugar, spirulina, arabica coffee, and more. It has over 3,200 reviews and a 4.5-star rating.

Arguably, the MacBook Air is no more, but the clones never stop coming. Among them is the Acer Aspire S 13. It’s not quite as thin and light as many prominently featured Ultrabooks, nor is it particularly premium. However, the Aspire S 13 packs quite a punch when it comes to performance. USB-C and a full HD display put it just over the edge in beating out the 13-inch Air, and for a much lower cost. Despite the powerful CPU, the Acer Aspire S 13 even manages a battery life of 7 hours and 49 minutes, according to our testing.

Create a bigger discount or coupon than your competition. This is a similar tactic to winning the Buy Box… Since Amazon tries to give customers the best possible deal, you only need to offer a little bit better of a coupon than your competition to maximize your chances of getting showcased on the Coupons page.

So those merchants have really embraced selling on multiple marketplaces. You don’t have to go far down the list to find a seller whose largest marketplace is not their home country – KW-Commerce. They are actually based in Berlin but their biggest marketplace (by feedback) is Italy.

Chromebooks are super cheap laptops that are based entirely on the Chrome browser. You need an Internet connection for the laptops to do anything. But, for the most part, people are Internet-connected when they’re using a laptop, so it’s not a huge limitation.

Read thousands of books for the carrying weight of less than one, anywhere and anytime. The Paperwhite comes with an adjustable light, no screen glare, and a long-lasting battery. Plus, users have access to millions of books for some of the lowest prices anywhere.

First, let’s take some time to review known Buy Box metrics. They can basically be grouped into three categories. For reference, you can see the first page of sellers for the kettlebell listing above, shown to your right.

That’s right — if a free book is ‘sold’, it’s weighted just the same as if a buyer forked over cash for the same title. The only thing, then, that matters is how many of whatever title have been snapped up, and that number in turns becomes part of the algorithm used to calculate the sales rank.

As you can see, this section of Amazon’s website is almost a department unto itself. Promotions are given their own unique links and listing pages. The part I’d like to draw your attention to is the Coupons link, highlighted in the blue box above. This page takes you to a list of Amazon’s most popular Vendor Powered Coupons (VPC) in a variety of categories. See the page for yourself below:

Amazon has unified its European marketplaces in the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy. That means a single seller account can be used to sell on all of those marketplaces. Feedback is tied to a single seller ID for sellers using unified accounts, so it’s possible to report on the proportion of feedback they have gained from each European marketplace. You can see that breakdown in the table below.

We can’t stress enough to avoid making the mistake so many buyers have of placing too much importance on just the best sellers rank. It’s tempting to get caught up in the heady rush of seeing items fly off the shelves and your products have a small rank number, but there’s so much more involved than that.

Amazon has websites in three other countries – Australia, Brazil and the Netherlands. These sites only sell Kindle readers, Fire tablets and related digital downloads. They don’t have third-party marketplaces and don’t appear in the data here.

All that said, we wouldn’t trivialize the success of Chromebooks at Amazon. It seems like there’s something going on with Chromebooks. In, October, Google said 22% of all U.S. schools were using Chromebooks.

While Google hasn’t yet opened up product distribution outside the U.S., earlier this week, Amazon indicated that it would ship the device to select international destinations. Shoppers in Europe, Asia and Australia reported success in ordering the device. But now, Amazon’s Chromecast product listing reads: “Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S. and to APO/FPO addresses.”

Amazon’s best-selling list compiles a real-time selection of shoppers’ top products in each category, which are updated hourly. That means the products that are on this list won’t always be their best-sellers, but they were at one point!

We choose a few of the most popular subcategories in which the item has a high ranking in relation to other items in that subcategory, and showcase the item’s rank on the product page. As with the main Amazon Best Sellers list, these category rankings are based on Amazon.com sales and are updated hourly.

CIRP estimates there are 85 million Prime members in the U.S., up 35 percent from the 63 million in the same quarter last year. That means there are a lot more people who are eligible to shop Prime Day this year, and purchase Amazon’s devices.

“The scale is very accurate. I stepped on and off multiple times, and always got the same number. Then I put on a light jacket, stepped on again, and it was up .6 pounds. Perfect!” – Elizabeth, Amazon reviewer
