Amazon’s own Fire TV Stick is currently the best-selling item in that category. In fact, Amazon’s own devices — from its tablets to Echo speakers — consistently account for eight of the 10 best-selling electronics devices.
As of this afternoon, Amazon says that its “Techies” category on the site was one of the most shopped, along with “Home Chefs” and “For the Home.” In the Techies section, Amazon is heavily promoting its own hardware — including Echo devices, Fire tablets, Kindle e-readers — as well as bundles like the Echo Dot/Philips Hue Starter Kit, for example, among others.
The opposite holds true, too, where your competitors can suddenly out-rank you in the Amazon best sellers rank. This usually happens if you’ve been selling at roughly the same rate each day, and one of them enjoys a considerable (and relative) spike on one day.
I agree that’s a big concern, but it’s worth taking into account the volume that these sellers do. hippo books got 131,628 feedback in the past 12 months so probably had well in excess of a million orders. If they got 99.9% of the orders right, which would be fantastic, that would still be 1,000 orders they got wrong. I don’t think 30 complaints on the BBB is a lot for a business doing that volume of sales.
A recent report put out by RBC Capital estimates that there will be an installed-base of 128 million Alexa-powered devices (like the Echo speaker and Echo Dot) by 2020, and that they’ll become a $10 billion business that year. Those estimates are based on the assumption that Alexa-powered devices will increase spending by 5% to 15% for each Amazon customer.
However, the list of books sold according to ranking do not tally at all. According to the ranking scales I should be selling hundreds per day but that is not happening at all and all I have is a Bestsellers ranking with few sales. It really does not make sense as this is a hot genre.
Oh, and then there are the ones who claim to have U.S. warehouses and even state they send from such and such a state…many of these are located overseas and your purchase takes up to three months to get.
Some high-feedback sellers are not present in Amazon’s seller directory, and the directory is not available at all for some media categories in some countries. Media covers books, DVDs and Blu-rays, music, PC and video games, and software. To address that, we have supplemented information from the seller directory with data on sellers who offer any of Amazon’s best selling products.
The intent of this blog is to share my knowledge base of computers, software, gadgets, smartphones and information technology in terms that is presentable and understandable to ALL; and at the same time feed my obsession (and passion) for information technology by learning from others.
“I wanted a flat iron that not only flattened but flips and curls too! I bought this product because of the reviews and price. I am so glad I did. I used it to curl my hair and I have to say it works better than a curling iron.” – Scruz, Amazon reviewer

As one of the biggest online retailers in world, Amazon’s sales soar when it comes to electronic commerce. The site’s robust library of products and prices make it a top destination for online shoppers — so what better place to check in on what your friends are checking out?
Constant access to this information scares me a little. Is this just another thing about which to obsess? Does this information actually serve a purpose for writers beyond freaking them out and/or offering rays of hope? And how quickly can I sign up?
Since the Insider Picks team aims to help our readers navigate the increasingly crowded e-commerce space to find the best value deals for them, Prime Day means we spend a lot of time sifting through an even higher concentration of deals to figure out which ones are most worth your time and money, given what we know about what our readers care about.
Rankings for this midyear list were taken from sales figures from January through the end of April, the most recent reporting period for market researcher The NPD Group. Due to agreements with publishers, NPD does not publicly release hard sales numbers — but the rankings show that players are eager for new experiences — while they’re not quite ready to let go of some old favorites.
Next I bought three of my books myself through the Amazon website and when I still saw no sales on my author page, and questioned them again, they stated again that there had been no sales. Now if this isn`t fishy I don`t know what is.
From soaring to high heights and seeing great sights to being in a Lurch on a prickle-ly perch, Dr. Seuss addresses life’s ups and downs with his trademark humorous verse and illustrations, while encouraging readers to find the success that lies within.
The Amazon Echo is technically a Bluetooth speaker, but you wouldn’t buy one just to play music. You can ask for the weather, control smart lights, search the web, order from Alexa Deals (and save a lot sometimes by doing so), as well as thousands of other “skills.”
