This works because the process Amazon uses to identify and spend misleading sellers is extremely cumbersome. The seller whose listing is being illegitimately piggybacked has to order one of the suspected counterfeit seller’s products to prove that it is indeed a different product.
(Publisher: Nintendo) — How popular is this long-awaited open-world “Zelda” game? So popular that it outsold the console it runs on. Worldwide, the game sold 2.76 million copies of the Nintendo Switch version of the game through March 31, according to Nintendo. The Switch, in that same time period, sold 2.74 million units. Whatever the reason, the game has certainly earned the success. It’s one of the most highly rated games of all time by critics. And it’s so loaded with surprises and solid gameplay that it’s easy to get lost in Hyrule, the game’s mythical world, for 100 hours or more.
And even though the products shown might not be “bestsellers” themselves, you know that they are good enough products that lots of people within your niche are still buying them anyway, so they’re worth listing.
So in the spirit of offering you the same expert advice I’d give to my nearest and dearest, I’ve combed through the best-selling budget-laptop lists from both Amazon and Best Buy, and weighed the pros and cons, taking into account the various configurations and specs. Both lists change quite rapidly, so I’m basing this on a snapshot in time—namely, the best-selling laptops on the morning of November 7, 2017.
I have a book which has sold zero copies, but its rank has changed several times. It has also gone up, so this has not been caused by people adding books. One of the categories it’s listed in doesn’t have that many books, but it still has over 100 of them. Despite that, my book was listed at #15 at one point even though no-one has bought it…

“If you don’t need extra connections like audio and Ethernet, and don’t plan on using voice search (the stick remote lacks it, but I never used it anyways, as it only searches Prime) and don’t plan on heavy gaming, then absolutely get the stick, it’s been a solid experience.” – Darren Levine, Amazon reviewer

Amazon’s press release is filled with all sorts of tidbits about top-selling items along with interesting factoids about logistics. As one quick example, Amazon notes that customers ordered more than 1,400 electronic products per second via mobile devices during the recent holiday shopping season. Another tidbit is that the peak day of customer fulfillment this past year was on December 19.

Amazon does not provide a seller directory for every category in every country in which they have a marketplace. There’s quite a lot of variation but Amazon.com specifically does not list sellers of books, DVDs/Blu-rays and CDs. (As an aside, even when there are seller directories some of the top sellers are missing.)
From what I understand, this can sometimes be because a product is new, or that they just haven’t had any recent sales, so they simply don’t rank against other products in that category… hope this helps!
This new API lets us provide real-time repricing (basically we can make changes to your prices as your competitors make changes, rather than waiting an hour to see if any changes need to be made), 100% accurate knowledge of Amazon’s offer, featured merchant status of your competitors and we’ll always know the lowest FBA offer, even when the “bucket” system would make it unavailable.
YouTube reflected on its banner year today, announcing that it served over 1 trillion playbacks in 2011. “That’s about 140 views for every person on the earth,” YouTube’s Rewind blog post says. YouTube saw record traffic and mobile growth this year. It gets 3 billion views per day, and video uploads have doubled since last year.
Lower down on the book seller’s list are the dystopian classics “The Handmaid’s Tale” by Atwood, “Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley, “Fahrenheit 451” by Ray Bradbury, and “Animal Farm,” also by Orwell. Trump’s “The Art of the Deal” is also on the list, at #12 on Saturday afternoon.
This is a list of Nintendo 3DS video games that have sold or shipped at least one million copies, sorted in order of copies sold. This includes games sold at retail locations and digitally on the Nintendo eShop. Additionally, games that were included in bundle packs with Nintendo 3DS systems are also counted.
