With that said; I’ve would have to give ballpark of around 5-7% for seller feedback (even worse conversions for product reviews) averaging the highs and lows of niches, marketplaces, product quality, etc. etc… high end is about 20-23%.
It would seem as though Nintendo Labo could already be a success, at least in the United Kingdom. The creative product is currently topping the video game best-sellers charts on Amazon UK. The most popular Nintendo Labo product is the basic Variety Kit which retails for £59.99. It should be noted that the products went live on Amazon UK yesterday. The kits are due to be released in April.
As mentioned, all that counts is the number of sales relative to other products within the same category. Amazon splits ‘paid’ and ‘free’ books into separate categories, so these act as sub-sub categories, in turn having their own bestsellers rank, which seems to be ranked using the same (or very similar) algorithm to paid bestseller ranks.
I am a Part of one of the top 6 Amazon companies in the world. We are selling in com, de, fr and uk and our feedback rates are: com 1 out of 7, uk 1 out of 5.5, fr 1 out of 6.5 and de 1 out of 11. maybe that helps to interpret the feedbacks better 🙂
We have important rules at my company about the projects we take on. We don’t work with authors whose books we wouldn’t read ourselves, and we don’t guarantee best-seller status. We say no to more work than we say yes to, but these principles help us avoid the gimmicky, one-hit-wonders who aren’t looking to write great books but instead are looking to trick people into thinking they have.
Along similar lines, if your product is selling a steady one unit per day, but some of your competitors start to sell more than you, then your rank will fall (i.e. the number will get higher), even if your sales remain steady.
The winner is … Chromecast, the tiny Google device that streams video and music to a TV. Chromecast has topped several of Amazon’s bestseller lists—including the biggie, its list of all electronics—for weeks now, displacing a Kindle model as sales leader and leapfrogging ahead of both Apple TV and the Roku.
While the Amazon Best Sellers list is a good indicator of how well a product is selling overall, it doesn’t always indicate how well an item is selling among other similar items. Category and subcategory best seller lists were created to highlight an item’s rank in the categories or subcategories where it really stands out.
One of top sellers you see in the list above is WayFair. As I was poking around Amazon, I noticed them showing up a ton in our searches. They have over 200,000 reviews and this seller clearly knows what they’re doing… Just about every item in their shop is winning its Buy Box. Getting Amazon reviews has to become systematic to generate sales.
Here are the top 500 sellers on the Amazon.es marketplace. The feedback shown is only that received from sales on the Spanish marketplace. The feedback data will vary from that in the global list above, for merchants selling to other European marketplaces using the same account.
