A gorgeous and long-lasting laptop featuring the most cutting-edge 8th-gen Intel processor, the Dell Inspiron 13 is $330 off its shelf price on eBay this week. It’s a touchscreen laptop and brand-spanking-new, too, in case that was a concern.View Deal
Chromebooks are super cheap laptops that are based entirely on the Chrome browser. You need an Internet connection for the laptops to do anything. But, for the most part, people are Internet-connected when they’re using a laptop, so it’s not huge limitation.

There were other interesting nuggets of information in the Amazon press release, including the list of top-selling tablets. While it’s no surprise that Amazon’s own tablets made the top three list given heavy promotions, it is interesting that the Kindle Fire 7 bested the Kindle Fire 6 and the Kindle Fire HDX 7. Note that the top three are all smaller tablets. Buyers liked the 7-inch size in particular.
For a few months already in a row – ASUS X551MAV-EB01-B Notebook is at the top of this list. And there is no surprise for that. Take in consideration price (see bellow) and performance this model is among my favourite this season.
Surf the Web and stay connected with this Toshiba Satellite C55-B5100 laptop, which features Bluetooth 4.0 for easy connection to Bluetooth-enabled devices. The Intel Celeron processor delivers reliability for everyday mobile computing.
Amazon’s decision to deeply discount its voice-powered Echo devices for Prime Day appears to be paying off for the online retailer. Though Prime Day is still underway this afternoon, Amazon has already sold more Echo devices than it did on Prime Day last year, it says.
Before Asus’s latest flipping Chromebook came around, pickings were slim when it came to affordable models with full-on Intel Core processors and 1080p displays, not to mention touchscreens, backlit keyboards and USB-C ports. It may use an Intel Pentium chip on the low-end, but the Asus Chromebook Flip is by no means low-end. Compared to what’s offered by the competition, the Asus Chromebook Flip’s value is unparalleled, and that’s without getting into its pristine tablet mode, which blows other hybrids completely out of the water.
(Publisher: Sony) — Baseball games don’t have quite the appeal among gamers as football and soccer titles. In fact, Sony is the only company making them these days. (Electronic Arts shuttered its “MVP Baseball” in 2005.) But the sales dominance of the PlayStation 4 has helped push “MLB 17” onto this year’s list. It will certainly drop off before the end of the year, but its strong performance in the first half of the year is still notable.
Some websites claimed that the ratings were updating monthly, weekly or daily, depending on a given item’s success rate. One claimed that a ranking over 10,000 meant sales of 2.2 copies a day. Another quoted an informal study by a publishing house, who tracked 25 books, and discovered that a ranking of 10,000 or more meant sales of about one to five books a week. The information was inconsistent.
Technology is helpful, fun, exciting, life-saving and expensive! If you have unlimited dollars and could buy all the gadgets and gizmos you wanted, there’d be no problem. (Well, maybe not.) Alas, we’re all limited, and we have to choose which tech toy is coming home from the store with us. Or which one will arrive at our door after shopping from our dining room. You sit in front of the computer, awed by the potential that’s out there waiting to sit in your palm. But funds limit your fun. Which leads to choices, choices, choices. Maybe this presentation can help.
In the 1920s, the richest people per capita in the world were members of the Osage Indian nation in Oklahoma. After oil was discovered beneath their land, they rode in chauffeured automobiles, built mansions, and sent their children to study in Europe.
It’s easy enough to guess why the Chromecast is popular. First, it’s cheap—$35 for a gadget with functionality similar to other streaming devices in the $50 to $100 range. Second, when it debuted, Chromecast immediately sold out—at the Google Play store, at Amazon, and at other retailers. Whether that was by design or due to inept supply chain management isn’t clear, but one consequence was that Chromecast took on the allure of a hot, in-demand item.
To me, intel is a greater problem than m$ – m$ has become irrelevant outside their sphere of influence but intel can buy their way into other markets as well, with their ill gotten loot and strong arm tactics.
CIRP estimates there are 85 million Prime members in the U.S., up 35 percent from the 63 million in the same quarter last year. That means there are a lot more people who are eligible to shop Prime Day this year, and purchase Amazon’s devices.
