So every time a customer checks out a product, they have a section directly underneath the product description showing related products that make nice complements to the product currently being considered.
Adobe, which officially tracks the e-commerce sales from 80 of the 100 largest websites, reported that Black Friday sales reached $5.03 billion, up 16.9% from last year. The company’s research shows that every day since the start of November, e-commerce has posted online sales of over $1 billion, which has never happened before.
Lousy Sales Ranks: This isn’t always or necessarily indicative of a bad-buy item, but only if you do it right. If you’re smart about it, like avoiding items with tons of competing offers, then you have the chance to make nice cushy profits. Just make sure you’re backing it with something like a Buy Box to increase your chances of a tidy profit.
“How does this tablet rank against the competition? There are really only two other tablets in its class currently: the Google Nexus 7 and the just-announced Apple iPad Mini with Retina Display.” – NF, Amazon reviewer
If you’re looking for an engrossing adventure in a post-apocalyptic world, Horizon Zero Dawn is for you. The story is engrossing, the gameplay outstanding, and the visuals gorgeous. Probably the best PlayStation 4 game of the year.
I agree that’s a big concern, but it’s worth taking into account the volume that these sellers do. hippo books got 131,628 feedback in the past 12 months so probably had well in excess of a million orders. If they got 99.9% of the orders right, which would be fantastic, that would still be 1,000 orders they got wrong. I don’t think 30 complaints on the BBB is a lot for a business doing that volume of sales.
In the span of one day, Michael Wolff’s bombshell book about President Donald Trump and his administration, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, moved 48,448 positions up on Amazon’s best-seller list to reach the no. 1 spot. As of 10:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, it has retained its status. (The book is still in pre-order stages; it will be released on Jan. 9.)
The only agreed upon fact was that Amazon’s algorithm was a big fat secret. And, according to their information page, the ratings are actually updated hourly across the board, though the exact moment of update might depend on time zone. To get some perspective, I searched The Hunger Games in paperback and found that it was No. 7. Since my father-in-law kept making jokes about me passing Charles Dickens, I looked up Great Expectations in paperback too: No. 982. Just narrowly beaten out by the dildos.
Promote your VPCs on third-party deals sites. This is a really sweet hack that can get you decent levels of traffic with very little effort. Simply search Google for “submit a deal” and you’ll get a list of 500,000+ websites that all want to showcase your deals. Submit your coupons to 10 of these sites per day (not all of them will take online coupons) and if your deal is eye-catching enough, you should start seeing some steady traffic flowing in.
The next time you’re in serious need of a laptop on the cheap, consider this: our round-up of the best laptop deals are so affordable that you might just buy one on impulse. For the price you’ll pay, we wouldn’t expect the most killer performance or a 4K screen, but we wouldn’t bank on a laptop that cuts corners either, as every entry on our list makes compromises only in the areas you shouldn’t notice.
Cosmic signals are directing you to interact with people in your family, community or tribe as you seek to establish connections with like-minded people. But the Moon’s shift into independent Aries…
To show you what’s going on behind the scenes when you use Amazon, let’s start by looking at the URL for a search term you might want to rank a product for. When I search for “stove top espresso makers” from Amazon’s home page, here’s the URL that we get, shown in the image below:
So, want to find out which games made it into the Top 10? Read on to check out Amazon’s roundup. But note that Amazon’s data comes solely from its own sales data. Games purchased digitally on consoles or at other retail outlets like GameStop, are not factored into the data. The year’s most popular games based on overall sales data, in other words, might be different.
Just the other day, we were trying to sketch out the kind of laptop that most people could buy and be happy with. Well, it appears Acer beat us to the punch, delivering exactly what we were looking for—and for way less money than we expected.
(Publisher: Activision Blizzard) — “Infinite Warfare” was a troubled “Call of Duty” title from the moment it made its debut, with fans blasting the debut trailer for deviating too far from the franchise’s roots. That reaction has seemingly impacted catalog sales. Typically, the previous year’s “COD” game is at or near the top of the midyear sales list. This year it’s near the bottom. Activision hopes this year’s “Call of Duty: WWII” gets a warmer reaction.
“The Anker charger is small and comes with a carrying case. This charger charges my phone quickly, about 2 hours and my phone is fully charged. The only negative with this charger is that it can only charge my phone one time, I really wish I could get two charges out of it.” – Aaron J. Garcia, Amazon reviewer
Across Amazon Books’ 13 bookstores, one out of seven customers who purchased a book also donated a children’s book to local charities supporting children in need. The top selling book given to local charities was the classic, Are You My Mother by P.D. Eastman; it was also the top selling book across all 13 stores.
Keep in mind, this isn’t 100% proven to work, but everything we know about Amazon’s ranking algorithm tells us it should. Plus, the absolute worst-case scenario is that you’re driving extra sales to one of your products… Amazon isn’t like Google where they’ll punish you for trying to optimize for their search engine.
Under federal law, it is illegal to use public office for private gain, as well as “for the endorsement of any product, service, or enterprise” and for the “private gain of friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity”.
On Thursday, a lawyer for Trump demanded the author and publisher stop releasing material, retract what had already been released, and apologize. Instead, publisher Henry Holt & Co. bumped up the book’s publication date up four days from Jan. 9 to Jan. 5, citing “unprecedented demand.”
An alternative to Sellery is RepricerExpress. It does pretty much everything Sellery does with a similarly easy-to-use interface. The perks are that it’s a flat monthly rate instead of commission-based, and it claims to be one of the fastest large-volume repricers on the market.
It’s a little hefty at just over five pounds and the battery isn’t user-replaceable, but that is a murderer’s row of specifications that contends with far more expensive laptops, like Dell’s Inspiron 15 Gaming Series that we just reviewed. It’s not a 2-in-1 and it doesn’t have a touchscreen, but if you just need a good old fashioned laptop with killer hardware, this is—without question—the best deal around. Don’t hesitate.
Currently, the holder of the highest-selling nonfiction release is Hillary Clinton’s “What Happened,” which sold 300,000 copies in its first week, according to publisher Simon & Schuster, as reported by Fortune.
Lower your price – If you’re eligible, pricing is pretty much the sole determining factor. All you have to do is find out what your competitors are selling your product for, and offer to sell and ship it for one cent less. Voila, you rank higher in the Buy Box.
It’s not usual to see poetry book among the bestsellers, but Rupi Kaur has the power. Her Milk and Honey is a collection of poems and prose about love, loss, violence, and femininity. And it occupies #3 position, selling better than A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman, or William P. Young’s The Shack.
How many copies did I need to sell be able to call up my mother and celebrate my newfound authorial achievements? Three. Yes, a total of three copies to become a best-selling author. And I bought two of those copies myself!
It probably didn’t help that it was constantly out of stock from Amazon directly. In the week leading up to xmas it was largely only available from third-party marketplace sellers at hugely inflated prices.
We actually worked with 2 sellers out of this list and improved their feedback from ~5% to about ~21% on all orders.. essentially doubling their monthly totals from previous months. (without going into super data). Anyways.. I think they probably climbed up this list since.. =)
Some of the worst are Silver Arch Books (huge offender), Hippo Books (huge offender), Free State Books, World of Books, Yankee Clipper, friendly books for you, melisasandy, book guyz, YOB (your online bookstore), book depository US, booKnackrh, PBShop US and UK (claims to send from US, they don’t ) Anybook (a huge offender), academic book guy (REALLY a rip off artist).
