Turns out, there’s a 100% free tool that does exactly that – it’s the KTD Amazon Keyword Tool. When you enter a keyword, it automatically queries Amazon’s search box for all the long-tail Search Suggestions for your keyword + each letter of the alphabet.
Oh, and then there are the ones who claim to have U.S. warehouses and even state they send from such and such a state…many of these are located overseas and your purchase takes up to three months to get.
What many of these sellers do not understand is that part of internet selling is that you are the eyes and hands of a buyer who isn’t there to look at the product themselves. The sellers on this list lack integrity, honesty, service and if there were employees they would be fired (but they are not employees).
I think the variation in feedback rates is fascinating. Some sellers like Pete below do report up to 20% while others just get feedback on 2-3% of sales like you. It seems to vary by country, but I’m guessing product category, price and other factors also play a part.
Despite White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee-Sanders’ efforts to downplay the book as “trashy tabloid fiction,” the scandal of Fire and Fury’s contents continues to intensify. On Thursday morning, Washington Post reporter Josh Dawsey revealed that Trump’s lawyers have “demanded” an apology from Wolff as well as a halt on publication.
With the 2017 holiday shopping season now firmly behind us, Amazon has a lot to smile about. Earlier today, the online retailing giant issued a press release noting that the 2017 holiday shopping season was its biggest yet. In addition to a record number of online orders, Amazon relays that it saw significant gains to its Prime membership, noting that it saw more than 4 million new Prime subscribers in one week alone.
If you are interested in the product volume for just a few sellers you can click the links to their seller information pages on Amazon. The product widget there includes a page count which can be used to calculate how many products they have listed.
Disclosure: This post is brought to you by Business Insider’s Insider Picks team. We aim to highlight products and services you might find interesting, and if you buy them, we get a small share of the revenue from the sale from our commerce partners, including Amazon. Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, is an investor in Business Insider through his personal investment company Bezos Expeditions. We frequently receive products free of charge from manufacturers to test. This does not drive our decision as to whether or not a product is featured or recommended. We operate independently from our advertising sales team. We welcome your feedback. They also package poorly…so your purchase will no doubt look like road kill by the time you get it…and they lie about condition of product (outright lies or instead of condition they state they have thousands of satisfied customers…then you get some smelly, torn up product).
Just like last year, we’ve compiled a list of the top-selling products from Insider Picks readers on Prime Day 2017. The news is good: You guys still like tech, that Internet-famous Instant Pot cooker, and a great pair of headphones for less. You also like knowing your ancestry and having a memory card or extender cable on deck.
As well, the short time-frame in which the best sellers rank is calculated means that it’s a really small pool to be sampling. Say you’ve got a really small sales rank number (i.e. small in this case means as close to 1 as possible) — thinking it’s a hot seller isn’t necessarily true, as you, or the buyer, could simply be looking at something that’s been sold just a few seconds or minutes ago.
Dear Rob thanks for the excellent post. I am a new author in Kindle and have published a preschool book “MY FIRST PRETTY BOOK OF ANIMALS: a gift for little ones”. My free rank was #1 but my paid rank is #280,230. Please tell me why such a difference has happened. Secondly I want to know how did you determine the figures of sales and amazon rank. Your advice will be really grateful.
The only title that’s in the top 5 both in print and Kindle is The Handmaid’s Tale, a dystopian novel from Margaret Atwood, first published in 1985. The book is set in the near future, in a militarized society where women are brutally subjugated.
Nintendo dominated! Of course, it wouldn’t be a list without Horizon Zero Dawn, which seems to be on everyone’s minds lately – including fellow developers. With a January Nintendo Direct slated for later on this month, we can’t help but to wonder what else the Big N has in store. The ranking above proves that the renewed interest is there, and we can’t to see what they do with this reacquainted momentum.
Not very good quality. So much sellers are missing. Sometimes a seller is missing only in one marketplace. For example KW-Comerce in europe. There you have only two markets instead of 5. And KW is one of the biggest. ?
Some of the reviews can have nothing to do about the product itself and something the customer did wrong. Like order the wrong size, or be to click to purchase and order the wrong item entirely. One can never reverse engineer enough, worked for China! Lol.
Specifically, it has sold more than twice as many Echo devices here in the U.S., compared with Prime Day 2016, and more than three times as many worldwide. Insiders at the company, according to one source, say that Echo devices are selling at a rate of “thousands per minute” at the moment. Echo Dot appears likely to sell out first, the source added, although there has been unexpectedly high interest in all of the Alexa-powered products.
If the answer to #2 is NO, you may still be able to work out a special deal with the manufacturer if you ask for it. However, if you don’t think it’s worth it, look around for other products in the same niche… Chances are, there’s money to be made on a slightly lower ranked product.
Automate pricing, request feedback and reviews, improve your marketing & SEO and a lot more. Amazon consultants help with difficult issues like suspension, or help grow your business. All in the Web Retailer directory.
Good point, Patrick! I only really researched English speaking Amazon stores, as this is most relevant to our readers, so am not sure how this translates to non-English speaking Amazon stores… if you could point me to any data you find on this topic, it’d be most appreciated!
The actual way Amazon does calculate the Overall ranking though is a trade secret, so this is relying on reverse engineering changes seen after getting sales jumps/or doing free giveaways. And apparently there is also a dlooars per sale weighting in there, as in some cases fewer sales of a higher dollar book can push you up more than a lot of sales for a 0.99 book. Lastly, I am sure that Amazon reviews trends for this very closely and tweaks / adjusts their algorithims frequently to help guard against people gaming the system to their detriment.
So we supplemented data from the seller directories by looking at all sellers with an offer for any of the top 100 products in any of the top-level categories. (So they don’t have to be in the Buy Box for those products, they just need to have an offer at any price.)
We’ve scoured the web to find you the best deals on good products. While Reviewed.com may receive a small share of the revenue from your purchase, editorial opinions are independent from any business sales.
