For just over half a grand, you can’t say no to an 8th-generation Intel quad-core processor, 8GB of RAM and Nvidia GeForce MX150 discrete graphics. In terms of specs, this is a price that has yet to be bested, even if it’s not technically a discount.View Deal

“If you are in the market for a little tablet and have prime, you have to decide between this Fire 6 or the 7 inch HDX for twice the cost. This 6 inch adds the rear camera and most of the performance while being smaller, lighter at half the price.” – William Hardin, Amazon reviewer

The Asus ZenBook UX310, the long awaited follow-up to the ZenBook UX305, sports a 7th-generation Intel Kaby Lake processor and an all-aluminum frame, truly a candidate for the MacBook Air’s throne. That’s thanks in no small part to the ZenBook UX310 offering all the latest ports, including USB-C, and the option of a beautiful QHD+ (3,200 x 1,800) display, complete with 178 degrees of rotation and a serious case of the anti-glare.

For comparison’s sake, Amazon Prime Day 2016 had led to a 3x increase in Amazon device sales, including a 2.5x increase in U.S. sales for its Echo speaker. It seems we’re on track to surpass those increases this year.

Disclosure: This post is brought to you by Business Insider’s Insider Picks team. We aim to highlight products and services you might find interesting, and if you buy them, we get a small share of the revenue from the sale from our commerce partners, including Amazon. Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, is an investor in Business Insider through his personal investment company Bezos Expeditions. We frequently receive products free of charge from manufacturers to test. This does not drive our decision as to whether or not a product is featured or recommended. We operate independently from our advertising sales team. We welcome your feedback. Absolutely, it will overrate some and underrate others. However, it is comprehensive and transparent and, I believe, the best possible without making a lot of shaky assumptions on average feedback rates, sales prices etc. etc. So I prefer to keep it simple, and be upfront about the source of the data and its shortcomings.

If you are interested in the product volume for just a few sellers you can click the links to their seller information pages on Amazon. The product widget there includes a page count which can be used to calculate how many products they have listed.

In December 2013 Theresa Regan posted the following figures on her blog representing how many sales we can expect a book to be achieving, depending on its overall sales rank. Of course, these numbers are likely to be rather arbitrary, but they’re interesting nonetheless. Note, these numbers do not apply to product categories other than books. It’s also important to again that it’s the sales that cause the ranking. The ranking doesn’t cause the sales.

Some items are also less expensive for customers with Prime subscriptions. When there is more than one price for an item, we used the base price. One reason for varying prices for the same item is that several vendors may sell them. Amazon updates all best-seller lists once an hour, although based on our observations, the lists do not change much hour-to-hour.

I noticed that Amazon more specifically categorized Semi-Charmed Life as a book about blogging, which struck me as sort of funny because my novel’s main character Beatrice Bernstein is a blogger, but the novel is not exactly Blogging For Dummies. But what did I care? I was No. 3 among upcoming blogging books! (I decided they should create even more specific lists like books featuring bloggers, written by Brooklyn-based journalists with cats named Mina and Waldo — I’d have to be No. 1 in that!)

As such, we foresee that launching new products in “Electronics” section is going to be tough. As you might be aware, several established brands have a greater presence in the marketplace already and they won’t allow much room for the beginners. However, we can also notice that there are a large stream of new mobile cases and other smartphone accessories brands having entered the market now. The reason is that these are among the easiest categories of products to distinguish with choices of designs and colours. On the other hand, it’s also true that this reason is not enough to get recognised because there is simply too much of similar products and this differentiation factor is not sufficient.
